Lee Economic Development Council is an organization established for the economic planning, development and improvement of the Town of Lee through the creation of better job opportunities and the retention and expansion of the current business community – to generally foster and promote the commercial, industrial, physical and moral development of the Town of Lee, Florida.
Associated activities include:
- Coordinating efforts with state and local government agencies
- Coordinating activities with partnering agencies both on the state and local level
- Assisting the current business community with retaining and expanding their business operation
- Pursuing and writing grants for economic development
- Assisting with tourism development
- Madison County is comprised of three municipalities and county government; the City of Madison, Town of Greenville and the Town of Lee. The four governmental agencies have worked cooperatively to provide water and waste water along the I-10 interstate.
